2025 – look out for projects over the year and a day event Saturday 20th September.
Looking back at 2024…..
2024’s event saw some headline pieces spread out across the area, less city centre, more community. We feel that everyone should have access to street art, and some people cannot access the city centre. We delivered two absolute stunners to Dines Green, and finally more in St Johns. We partnered on a community/environmental piece in Warndon. We had a lot of action in Cripplegate Park alongside several other pieces dotted around.
WPF also had a pop up exhibition at Crowngate Shopping Centre featuring the deep history of local graffiti artists back to the 80’s, and of WPF, showcasing film, photographs and display boards, including photographs of all previous murals.
This year we hope to deliver several headline walls again, coupled with some smaller spaces for local and emerging street and graffiti artists to trial new work.
We plan to start a ‘Street Art Tour’ – taking a stroll around some of the murals creating and explaining a little more about them, and the event itself, by Director Kate Cox. We hope this can eventually feature guests too.
There are opportunities to book for a school or community group tour, or talk, so please do get in touch if you are interested.
We are always looking for sponsors so please do get in touch if you would like to help the community get some large, inspiring and joyful artwork, pay to cover the costs of a mural and support Worcester Paint Festival. Or if you want to discuss a commission, we have an extensive network of street, mural and graffiti artists who can deliver! Please get in touch if you want to book a tour, or talk about graffiti and street art culture, or the local scene.
Worcester Paint Festival brings street, mural & graffiti artists to the city showcasing renowned names in the UK scene, supported by emerging artists to create a vibrant outdoor art gallery. WPF works with street artists for projects, collaborations and commissions. Please get in touch if you have a wall or project that needs brightening up!
PAINT THE STREETS had over 18,000 visitors! Thank you to everyone who came to the exhibition and viewed the murals out and about.
